Writers' Hub Fall 2025 Workshops
Each semester, the 91直播 MFA Program develops a series of creative writing workshops that are open to local community members and program alumni as well as to current MFA students. These events are designed to dig deeply into a specific element of the craft of writing and to help participants hone their skills. All events take place at Barat House, home of the Dowd-O'Gorman Creative Writing Center, tucked away on 91直播鈥檚 vibrant campus. Please see this semester鈥檚 offerings below. Upcoming Workshops
To write well, no matter the genre, you have to learn how to approach your own work as if you were the reader. It sounds simple, but it鈥檚 an immense challenge. Your head is full of information (the product of invention or research), not all of which will appear on the page. In fact, leaving some of it out is essential. For your readers, however, the page is all they have. In this workshop, we鈥檒l talk about why holding onto these opposing perspectives 鈥� the author who knows everything and the reader who knows nothing 鈥� can help you identify and solve a host of potential problems.
